Towards the end of the school year, our firsties take a trip to a Dinosaur Museum! I love tying in dinosaur themed activities around the time of our field trip. It's SO HARD to keep the littles engaged in the last few weeks and DINOSAURS make my job a little easier ;)
This pack includes morning work, close reading lesson/passages, a writing lesson/activity, grammar lessons/activities, math lessons/activities and extra work pages!
To take away some of the prep on your end, I have written detailed plans for the sub so should you be sick, you can stay home in your cozy jammies and focus on getting better! All the planning has been taken care of for you.
I HATE just leaving subs with packets or worksheets, so I also created anchor charts to help guide them in teaching lessons to the first graders. These will keep the lessons short and sweet but give the students a visual aide to help them successfully complete their work, even in your absence.
Also included are these sub report & note pages. I like to print these blank and add notes to them by hand.
The best part of making these pages ahead of time and stashing them for emergencies is if you DON'T need to take a day off, then you can enjoy a prep free day with your firsties and use them yourself! Pair them with a few dinosaur videos and enjoy a fun and laid back day!
